There is quite honestly nothing more precious in the world than your tiny new baby! Being a Newborn Photographer is not only an honour but a privilege and one that I have immensely enjoyed for over a decade now. It is a wonderful journey to witness and I am delighted to have watched my clients children grow over the years and have been there through many incredible milestones from first smiles to first steps and beyond. Newborn Photography is an investment, I take huge pride in my work and from our first point of contact we will plan your session together, ensuring every detail is taken care of, listening to your wishes and planning a beautifully bespoke day capturing the details you want. When Is the best time to book and enjoy my newborn session?

Due to demand we recommend booking your newborn session once you have had your 20 week scan. I only ever take on 2-3 newborn shoots each week as this allows for me to accommodate babies that are born early or late. For tiny, curled up sleepy portraits we normally photograph your newborn session when baby is between 5-16 days old. Families who reach out to me after baby is over two weeks old, I will do my best to capture newborn style images for you. I have successfully captured babies in the newborn style up to 28 days old and beyond. Every families circumstances are different and birth is a very emotive subject, so please do feel free to call and discuss everything with me. I take my clients hopes and wishes for their sessions very seriously and your feelings are so important to me!

What can I expect on the day of my newborn session?

My newborn sessions are just the same as going to a studio but in the comfort of your own home! Before the day we will have discussed your vision for your images and a plan for timings. I will arrive and set up a shooting area for your images. I will bring my studio lighting and a beautiful selection of props, fabrics and also bespoke hand painted floors. We can utilise any part of your home such as capturing natural images of your family in the nursery, cuddled on the bed or sofa as well as the beautiful newborn set ups. If you have siblings we will normally arrange with you the best plans to enable them to be involved in the session without becoming too impatient as we capture the other newborn images. Lastly I absolutely welcome grandparents to your session. Images of grandparents with their tiny new grandchildren are often overlooked and they are so precious and so important. I will endeavour to have your images edited and your private online gallery back to you within 2 weeks.

I am dedicated to promoting safe practice in our currently unregulated industry. Please think carefully before booking your newborn photographer and ensure they are working safely. It is important sleeping babies are Safely positioned in props and on backgrounds, ensuring they are adequately spotted or through the photographer compositing images together.
